They have Wingdings in production and high aspect foils in testing. Fun times ahead. No idea when they will be available.

When you say high aspect foils, are you referring to something other than the current HS wings? (which really are not that high aspect)

Yes I believe so. Aimed at wingding and pumpers I assume.
Hey hilly
how is the 1550 as a wing ding?
I have been learning on the axis 920. It's area is 1850. I have also been using the axis 1000. It's a high aspect. More glide but need more wind to get up on the foil. I Am 75kg.
not sure the 1550 will have enough lift for my beginner level. Would I be better off getting the 1850?

Ha ha 75 kg. You will love the 1550. I am 105kg that is why I need a bigger wing.
Hey Hilly,
Been winging on the 1550 with unitail and 0 shim with mast right forward. Thought I'd start with the setup that would give me the most lift and chance of getting up early, as well as being nice and stable.I remember you going to the 232 tail and saying it was a bit sketchy at first ,then later on you said it was better because it was less draggy.
So with the 232 can you get up on foil as early as the unitail ,or do you need more speed to get the lift ?
Does it stay on foil just as long or does it drop off earlier with the 232 ?
I can feel the drag a bit when I get a decent gust and the board wants to go faster but It hasn't bothered me yet ,but I haven't tried the small tail or the +1 ttf yet either.
cheers Kobo

232 gives you less initial lift than the unifoil but more speed, you still get lift due to the extra speed, if that makes sense.
+1 with the 232 gives more speed and less lift. Drag disappears, feels weird to start with. 0 shim is better for surfing I believe (more positive feel).
I use the 232 chopped to 212 with the 0 shim on the 1550, but the +1 shim on the 2400 because it is a behemoth and gets out of control easily. If I was maxed out on the 1550 I would change to the +1 shim (or to the 1200) but have not had that issue yet.
Looking forward to the 1850 for wingding at my weight as 1550 feels a touch small.
Curious to see a picture of the new wing
It will just be a slightly larger 1550
So I wrote to Armstrong. they told me the 1850 will be released when it's ready. I also heard that they have only just received first run for QA testing.
