Pic of the 1550 on top then the 1250 & 1050 on the bottom - have heard that its higher aspect, also not as loose as the 1050 (more of a drawn out carving turn) & pumps/glides like crazy.
Thanks for the sneak preview. Hard to tell from the angle of the pic but looks like it may be as wide as the 1550 but flatter. Read somewhere that it is thinner than the 1050. Well guess another week or so and all the details will be coming forward.
Wohooo!
I am really looking forward to test that wing. After testing the HS1850 I see no real use in my CF2400 for low end and the HS1550 is not faster than the 1850. I hope that the 1250 has the same pumping ability with more speed for high-wind winging.
Yeah great looking wing & agree it's a higher aspect wing design but it's still a mid aspect wing which gives it its versatility. Nice job Armstrong .
The HS1250,s 83cm wing span is more than the HS1550 (80cm). It will be interesting to see the difference in pump & turning between these two.
If it's anything like the 1050 it will be sensational, Interesting a lot of top end foil brands are now heading to the mid aspect designs.Finding the balance between performance and handling is the trick and Armstrong seemed to have nailed that. Can't wait to see what Armie comes up for the HA range.
Haha trust Sky to come up with crazy vid like that, can see how easy the pump is , he's not even swinging his arms, and obviously turns great too, like to know what fuse, tail etc he's running , probs 212/50/+1

For those of us that like to geek out on numbers etc...according to google doc's the HS1250 has an aspect ratio of 5.51.
Not sure of the source of this info.

It is a very simple calculation you can do for yourself for any Armstrong foil. Go to their website and look up the span and the surface area.
Aspect ratio: multiply span by span and divide the total by surface area.
So for the 1250: span is 83 cm, surface area is 1250 cm.
83 x 83 = 6889
6889 divided by 1250=5.5

Ok cool, thanks for that mate

So according to that google docs spreadsheet, the 1250 is wider than the 1550 by a bit more than an inch and is the most high aspect of the Armstrong wings. Waiting for a few more reviews before i pull the trigger on this one.
From the picture it doesn't look like it will be any good.haha
Yeah, I don't like the look of it either - anyone want a new HS1250 at a great price pm me

It will be mid next week before I get to try it mate
Can anyone compare it to the Lift HA170?
I used to own the HA170. Only rode it winging for about a month. I thought the HA200 was the best of the three Lifts.
The 1250...only rode it winging so far. Easier, faster, is my impression. Happy I made the switch.
From all reports the 1250 is a wing that goes as close as you can to a HA while still keeping all the nice handling characteristics of low/mid aspect wing. Can't wait to see the HA series of Armstrong's sometime in 2021.

Reportedly, Armstrong's HA wings will be higher in AR than almost anything currently on the market. May be more for DW/wing ding than surf.

Ok but I still want one

Foiled the HS 1250 today, waist high waves off shore, thought the HS1550 was good but this wing is beyond, fast, smooth lift and the glide is unreal.surfed another spot waves below knee high and gutless, the foil was easy to kick up on the foil . Glide and speed still unreal for a 1250. 73kg 55 armstrong wing foil sup,60 fuse,232 stab and plus 1 shim. Great work ARMSTRONG
Big difference in thickness, by eye the 1550 is 27mm at widest point the 1250 is 17mm.
First sesh tomorrow morning - the froth factor is high
I had a (too short) session on the wing with the 1250 today. So far it feels perfectly in between the 1550 and 1050. It is faster than the 1550. Seems to have a bit more glide. Lift is good too. I was able to stall it without dropping immediately, similar to the 1550. I got the impression (also the GPS tells me) that the 1050 is faster. Then again it was only the first session.
Did not have any waves unfortunately. Only had a little bit of wind chop. Eager to get it into some proper downwinging or waves and see how it performs.
To me it also still has that "surfy" feel.
The 1050 is 20mm thick which is a little thicker than the 1250 @ 17 mm probs explains why the 1250 feels fast too, but I would think the 1050 would have less overall drag being smaller but I may be wrong.
