So, long story short, I'm 80 kg or so, SUP foiling smallish east coast US waves (knee to chest mostly) on a 6'5 Flying-V with GoFoil Maliko 200 and GL210 setup (moving to the GL210 this week). I've progressed to where I can catch pretty much anything, just looking for more peformance, turning better, pumping back out, etc. The GL210 is the first step, the next thing I'm pondering is dropping down to the 5'7" 95L Naish S26 Hover. I can get a demo board with a bit of a discount, so I'm sure I could resale it or use it later for a wing board. It's roughly 1.5" thinner than my JL board, but a 20L and 10" drop in length.

Has anyone SUP foiled a 95L-ish board successfully? For reference, my normal SUP is a 8'2" JL SuperTech at 102L.

Yes it's quite easily doable. But. Like I will tell everyone. It depends on the water you surf. Is it mainly windy? choppy or swirly water? Where you'll have to fight for stability on your current board. Or are you quite comfortable on your current board?
If quite comfortable on your current board, then a 95 litre should be ok for a person at 80 kgs.
I have a 95 litre JP 6ft 8" x 26 wide board and can SUP foil it much better than using a SUP with the same litres with no foil.
I mainly use my 95 litres foil board for Wing ding which again is basically even more stable due to being on the move from the wind.
Obviously your new smaller board will take a bit of getting used to but should work.
I have used my 95 litre foilboard with jet skis racing around me and still got a few waves. It floats me fine.
Oh. And for your reference. My 95 litre SUP is a Jimmy Lewis Super Tech which is very difficult to use just as the water starts to get some chop. The 102 litres 8 ft 2" would be my lowest litres & most suited for the best performance in good conditions.

That helps quite a bit, thanks. I'm mostly foiling in pretty calm seas, there's been a few days where I'm out in some wind, but generally I just pick up a kite at that point. I'm ultra-stable on my JL right now, no issues at all. I'm still debating it, I just switched to a GL210, I think I'm going to work on it for awhile before making another change. I don't want to lose all my low end at once. I just need a couple of days on the GL210 and then make a decision on a board.

I picked up a s25 hover 95 from naish last Fall and generally had a hard time with it. Found the nose a bit too narrow which kind of made the board just too unstable. Didn't think the difference between 29" and 27.5" would be that big, but the shape of the board just doesn't provide much stability beyond the front foot.

I weigh 171lbs, foil east coast waves, and usually ride a 6'0 moon buddy with a 180 wing which I find extremely stable.

Generally I would say step up to their 5'10hover 110 and you will have no regrets. Or if you're located near rhode island, you can buy my 95 :-)
