Did anyone here try the starboard foils? From engineering point of view I think this is the ONLY company who nailed it assembly/construction-wise. But if their wings are not up-to-date, who cares:)

The connection was the biggest issue , yes it was clever and quick but it did loosen pretty fast , so you needed to come in and nip it up . Killer wind foil wings But not so much for the prone. Construction is always very good but design wise hard to find a good video other than Zane ripping it up on the Sup or Prone.

The Quick Lock fuselage doesn't loosen. Their tail setup is the best IMHO.

Also people have used Gong wings with a shim whick opens up a lot.

Clearly Piros has not used the Starboard surf foil with the either of the Quicklock or Quicklock HD system as they dont loosen at all even after hours on the water. I have put many hours on this foil system and I have to say it is a fantastic design, which enables an incredibly fast setup time.

I do agree however that Starboard is not putting anywhere near enough effort in marketing their surf foils, which definitely hurts the number of sales they could with such a fantastic foil system and the many wing options available.

Danish,
If you are looking at the Starboard surf foils for sup foiling, they do offer a wide range of current foil wings (stype/Etype/Xtype) and a few classics foil shapes like the wave/ocean. The S-type (surf/allround) front wing foil is a great choice and comes in a range of sizes. The Etype has a more high aspect design compared to the Stype and IMO prefers cleaner conditions as not quite as stable as stype but offers more lift and pumping performance.
