Quite frankly, what is the relevance of the fastest or second fastest 12.6 board for sprint for any recreational paddler looking for a 14' fun board with a wide range?

It really isn't relevant, and trying to argue that is just silly. That was suppose to be an inspirational, hype inducing video. Completely missed the mark imo, just like their graphics.

So many good wind days on the Island, did they really have to choose one of the worst to demonstrate the Maliko? And why put Michi schweiger, still in his office clothes, when they could easily put Ethan Koopmans to do the downwind dance he is so good at?

I'm starting to think that the now ousted Bernd Roediger may have had some merits to his s*it talking gripe on his departure interview.

Yes, I was thinking the same. They are just not showing the board at its best and putting it in what is arguably the conditions that are its weakest point. Put a 70kg downwind paddler on 20 knots and you have an exciting video....
We know that Casper is a beast in his own rights and could be a great ambassador for the board, if not limiting him to a sprint and dash.

What *are* the conditions that are the Maliko's weakest point?

The ability to work bumps and paddle in a downbreezer where bumps are "bigger" than the wind level.
The 2020 Maliko is definitely an upgrade to the 2019/2018 in that respect but the 25.5 Torpedo is a bit better from my point of view with its ability to "seat" the tail and keep moving fast with minimum efforts.
The Torpedo is a little bit more nervous and racy but the Maliko is a strong base from which to paddle on in bigger or more difficult conditions.

One thing I noticed. I am not using the MFC fin that came with the board as it is big 24cm deep fin so not really appropriate for that board but it would be good when a brand includes the fin with the board, that the fin fits the fin box It looks like it is a US base fin and the board is equipped with some variation of Bahne box. If you ever want to fit the fin in the box, it will take some sanding and possibly moving the pin.

Reverse the letters MFC, and you get the acronym for Cluster-F**k Manufacturing.

I feel sorry for the retailers, having to sort that problem out every time they sell a Maliko.

That wasn't my experience with my 2020 Maliko. The MFC fin that came with it fit right out of the box.

Nice.
On mine the MFC fin comes with a US fin base i.e. lower pin and bit wider base (the later easy to fix with a bit of light sanding) and the box itself seems closer to a Bahne box (but likely not exactly one if there ever was a strict specification) i.e. higher groove/pin position
So the fin is not held firmly at the back by the pin and jiggles up and down. For a proper fit, the pin needs to be relocated.

Most of my own fins that fitted in the 2018 Maliko box, fit now in the 2020 Maliko box with very minimal adjustments except one that need the pin moved for some reason, so I can't complain.

Maybe its just a shipping error, if that fin is offered with several boards in the range. Might be worth asking the retailer to check that the fin fits before accepting it, I guess.
