Time to change boards, and I've got down to a shortlist of 2. Both are available where I live (UK) but I'm not able to demo either. Has anyone ridden them or know of any decent reviews?
2020 Fanatic StyleMaster 10 x 30.5
Smik StyleLord V2 10 x 30
Thanks

Shame the Jimmy Lewis 10-29-125 liter Destroyers not available !Im a board whore and have surfed most 10 ft longboard sups,it's a clear winner, having said that the new 10 ft Starboard looks great, and I would love to demo it .
Hi Justaddwater, the new JL 10' Destroyer are available...Contact Rod at Jimmy Lewis Australia....I know he's got one to demo

He lives in the UK mate... as said above
Just to clear things up I can not help you in the UK
But here in OZ I currently have stock of the 10" Destroyer in 3 colours...
And a demo available for those who live close to the NSW central coast.
Will have the Demo boards at Scott's Head and Merimbula events as well.
thanks Rod
Yes I know that...I meant for Justaddwater not dingfix
Rob I have been riding the 10 ft destroyer for some time now,it's the only board I have,it goes in everything!
I bought a 10 x 29 hipster longboard and found it super stable for my 95kg. If I was going to buy another one I would go the 28 inch version. If you have balance I would look at least the 29 inch version of the stylelord
Hey Dingfix,
I demo'd the Stylemaster one time and to be honest didn't like it at all. To be fair it wasn't great conditions for a trial but it felt like it had a lack of volume in the rear and so felt unbalanced. If I remember correctly I think the Stylemaster is fairly low volume for its size.
I now have a (custom) Stylelord, 10x29 (~136l) and it is a superb board. Really well balanced, paddles well and surfs unreal on a wave. Definitely my pick of the 2....
I have the Stylemaster and have had many sups over time. I can confirm it is a very good board. it works in both small surf and handles a bit of grunt too.
I have ridden the Stylelord several times as my friend rides one. We have compared the boards and they are quite a bit different.
I wouldn't worry too much about which one to get as they both work and the biggest factor is the rider. 10' boards are a lot of fun. They are easy to ride, paddle, can catch anything and are great as a one board quiver. I used to 8' sups with 100l volume but now mainly ride the 10'.

Just picked up new custom SMIK Style lord from Surf FX yesterday and to say that I'm wrapped is an understatement. Rode it at Burleigh point this morning and had a ball in shoulder high waves. Took little while to get going and take the drop but once I got on first wave, the nose stayed up and took off. Such a smooth easy to ride board. I'm nearly 71 and needed a bigger board that would let me catch waves and still perform .Lots of comments on how well the board sits in the water. Great work Scotty getting the board to me and thanks Guy at Surf FX who went the extra mile.
(No financial interest in either of these companies )

Remind me again of the dims on that board please Rocky. And how stable it is. I know I've been through this before but I really want to get my next board [possibly my last at 72] right. Cheers, Jimbo

Hi Capt. J Board 10' x 32" x 165L Very stable, tracks well and a very smooth ride .Easy to turn with good nose rocker which keeps the nose up on a steeper wave and paddles really well getting onto virtually everything I paddle for.
Nice board the 10' x 32 , picked one up at beginning of month to use at Bali LSR. I used it in a mix of waves sizes , was very happy with it.
The Mrs claimed it for the last week as her newbie Sup wave count went up every session on it.

Ta Rocky. Just one more question then I'm finished [promise], do you find it very corky? I'm only 70 kg and worried it might bounce around a bit on waves. Cheers, Jimbo [not in isolation but staying home unless a wave demands my attention]

Not corky at all, just very comfortable.

Thanks for that. I'm sold. Now to get the funds.
Re Corky, my less than 70kg Surfer Girl also didn't find it Corky .
She had trialed a bunch of different 10' boards over the Bali weeks with this one her top choice for distance tracking and wave progression..
I enjoyed it from small to large waves
Hoping to find one In Vic for her (us)

Thanks Bighugg. I'm convinced this is the way to go. Surfing is my exercise routine and paddling in waves or on flat I find healthy for mind and body. Plus, easy to keep social distance! Hope y'all stay well. PS: That's one juicy looking wave!
