Hi guys,

just wondering what is your feedback on the importance of the board wide regarding the rail to rail manoeuvrability.

i ride 61cm wide board ( sorry for the cm size ) but I am wondering if I will loose a lot if I grab a wider board.

Your weight, feet size, height, strength, speed of waves, and tolerance all affect rail to rail.

Having ridden comparable lengths of foilboards one at 20" wide and one at 28", similar overall weights....All things being equal...The width gives them extra inertia in the roll axis so you have to initiate turns earlier and likewise break off turns earlier than the narrower board... basically think ahead. Less spontaneous. Obviously the extra width causes rails to touch down at lower angles too.
